If you purchased a Greater Goods Digital Kitchen Scale between May 2023 and Sept 2024, you are eligible for a Free Recall Kit to enhance the safety of your scale.
The Recall Kit Includes:
- New Battery Door
- Instructions on how to Replace your door (+ QR link to a quick tutorial)
- Updated Manual
- Warning Sticker (for you to apply anywhere on the back of your Kitchen Scale)
Step 1: Verify If Your Scale Requires a New Battery Door
Identify the Model Number
Ensure your scale is a Greater Goods Digital Kitchen Scale with one of the following model numbers: 0480, 0455, 0456, 0458, 0473, 0479, 0481, 0747, 0748, 0749, 0751, 0752, 0754.
You can find the model number by looking for a label on the back of your scale. The model number may also be found on the original packaging or the user manual.
Check the Battery Door:
- Secured Battery Door (No Action Needed) — If your battery door is secured with a screw (requires a screwdriver to open), your scale already has the updated safety feature.
- Unsecured Battery Door (Action Required) — If your battery door does not have a securing screw and can be opened without tools, your scale requires a new battery door. Please continue with a request for a replacement.

The replacement battery door will be shipped to you free of charge. Please allow 7-10 business days for delivery.

Step 3: Replace your Battery Door

You’ll need your new door.
Step by Step
1. Remove old door.
2. Insert new door's bottom tab into bottom gap in battery opening.
3. Push door in until flush with scale.
4. Place warning sticker on back of scale.
