Let the good times roll with these tasty, hurricane-inspired jello shots!

Ingredients

For the Bottom Layer:

2 Cup Passion Fruit Juice

4 Oz Orange Jello 

Cup Light Rum

1 Tbsp Lime Juice

For the Top Layer:

1 Cup Passion Fruit Juice

2 Oz Orange Jello

Cup Dark Rum

Splash of Lime Juice

1 Tbsp Grenadine

Directions

1. Make the Base Layer

Use a food scale to measure 4 oz of orange Jello, and set it aside. Then, using a sauce pot, boil 1 cup of passion fruit juice. 

2. Stir in the J-E-L-L-O

Remove from the heat and stir in your jello. Once it dissolves add a cup of cold fruit juice, lime juice, and light rum. Stir to combine.

3. Pour it Out

Carefully – pour the mixture into cups. Fill each cup ½ way, and set them in the fridge for at least one hour. 

4. Make the Top Layer

Use a food scale to measure 2 oz of orange Jello, and set it aside. Then, using a sauce pot, boil 1/2 cup of passion fruit juice. 

5. Stir in the J-E-L-L-O

Remove from the heat and stir in your jello. Once it dissolves, add the remaining fruit juice, dark rum, lime juice, and grenadine. Stir to combine. 

6. Top it Off

Pour the mixture on top of the bottom layer and, refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until you’re ready to let to the good times roll!

Notes

1. Chill Your Cups

For faster setting, pre-chill your serving cups in the fridge before pouring in the jello mixture.

2. Alcohol-Free Option 

For a kid-friendly version, replace the rum with more fruit juice.

3. Perfect Layers

Use a spoon to gently pour the top layer over the back of the spoon to avoid disturbing the bottom layer.
