Summary

Celebrate with this non-alcoholic spiced pomegranate mocktail! A homemade pomegranate syrup infused with warm spices is the perfect base for this refreshing and fizzy non-alcoholic drink.

Ingredients

For the Pomegranate Syrup:

Cups Pomegranate Juice

1 Cup Granulated Sugar

1 Cup Water

1 Cinnamon Stick

23 Cardamom Pods

34 Allspice Berries

Zest of 1 Orange

For the Mocktail:

Ice

Pomegranate Syrup

Sparkling Water

Orange Slice to Garnish

Directions

1. Prep the Sous Vide

Set your sous vide to 140°F.

2. Mix the Ingredients

In a jar, combine pomegranate juice, sugar, water, cinnamon stick, cardamom, allspice, and orange zest.

Then, secure the lid onto the jar until it's snug, but not overly tight. This ensures the jar is sealed without over-compressing the lid, allowing air to escape during processing if needed.

3. Cook the Syrup

Submerge the jar in the water bath and let it cook for 1–2 hours. This slow process infuses the pomegranate juice with warm, spiced flavors.

4. Cool and Strain

Remove the jar, let the contents cool, then strain the syrup into a container. Then, simply store it in the refrigerator until ready to use.

5. Pour Yourself a Mocktail

Fill a glass with ice. Pour 2–3 tablespoons of the spiced pomegranate syrup over the ice. Top with sparkling water, club soda, or tonic water for a little fizz. Garnish with an orange slice. Stir, sip, and enjoy! Cheers!

Notes

1. Customize the Sweetness

Adjust the syrup-to-liquid ratio to match your taste preference. Like it sweeter? Add a splash more syrup!

2. Batch It Up

Hosting a party? Multiply the recipe and set up a DIY mocktail station with mixers and garnishes for guests.

3. Storage Hack

The syrup stays fresh in the fridge for up to two weeks, making it perfect for holiday prep.
