12 Oz Dark Chocolate
6 Oz White Chocolate
Sprinkles & Flaky Sea Salt to Garnish
1: Create a Double Boiler
Fill a saucepan 1/4 of the way with water and bring it to a simmer – be careful not to let it boil. Then, place a metal bowl into the pot. Make sure the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water.
2: Melt the Chocolate
Add chocolate to the bowl and stir CONSTANTLY until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Then, remove the bowl from the heat and prepare for the fun part!
3: Dip It
Grip a strawberry by its stem. Then, dip and twist it into the melted chocolate. Let some excess chocolate drip off and place the dipped berry onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat until each strawberry is covered in sweet, sweet, chocolatey goodness.
Using the same double boiling method, melt the white chocolate. Then, ladle the smooth, melted chocolate into a sandwich baggie and cut one corner to create a mini piping bag.
Squeeze the baggie to add white chocolate swirls, zigzags, or other fun designs to your strawberries!
Don’t feel like melting more chocolate? Keep it simple and dip the semi-dry chocolate-covered strawberries into a cup of sprinkles, or garnish with flaky sea salt. Get creative! Decorate your way and enjoy the perfect Valentine’s Day Dessert!
