Strawberries & Chocolate are a match made in heaven!
1. Create a Double Boiler
Fill a saucepan 1/4 of the way with water and bring the water to a simmer – be careful not to let it boil. Then, place a metal bowl into the pot. Make sure the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water.
2. Melt the Chocolate
Add chocolate to the bowl and stir CONSTANTLY until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Then, remove the bowl from the heat and prepare for the fun part!
3. Dip It
Grip a strawberry by its stem. Then, dip and twist it into the melted chocolate. Let some of the excess chocolate drip off and place the dipped berry onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Then repeat until each strawberry is covered with sweet, sweet chocolatey goodness.
4. Decorate
Using the same double boiling method, melt the white chocolate. Then, ladle the smooth, melted chocolate into a sandwich baggie, and cut one corner to create a mini piping bag.
Squeeze the baggie to add white chocolate swirls, zigzags, or other fun designs to your strawberries!
Don’t feel like melting more chocolate? Keep it simple and dip semi-dry chocolate strawberries into a cup of sprinkles, or garnish each berry with a bit of flaky sea salt.
Get a little creative! Decorate your way and enjoy the perfect Valentine’s Day Dessert!
