With just a few pantry staples, you can elevate a classic baked ham into something unforgettable.
1. Make the Glaze
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon, allspice, and Dijon mustard. Cook gently, stirring often, until the sugar dissolves and a thick glaze forms.
2. Prepare the Ham
Cook your ham according to the package or recipe instructions. (We baked ours at 325°F for about 15 minutes per pound, until it reached an internal temperature of 140°F.)
3. Glaze It Up
During the last 20 minutes of baking, brush the glaze generously over the ham.
4. Torch It (Optional)
Once the ham is out of the oven, use a kitchen blow torch to crisp the outer layer for a caramelized finish.
5. Serve & Enjoy
Slice and serve warm. Watch your guests go back for seconds (and thirds).
