Ingredients

1 Loaf of Day-Old Bread (Cut Into ¾-Inch Cubes)

¼ Cup Olive Oil

2 Tsp Italian Seasoning

1 Tsp Garlic Powder

¾ Tsp Fine Sea Salt

½ Tsp Black Pepper

Directions

1. Preheat Oven to 375°F

Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

2. Season the Bread

In a large bowl, drizzle olive oil evenly over the bread cubes. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss gently until the cubes are evenly coated.

3. Bake Until Crispy

Spread the bread cubes in a single layer on the baking sheet. Bake for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway through to brown all sides. Watch closely to avoid burning—bake time may vary based on bread type and cube size.

4. Cool & Store

Remove from the oven and let cool completely. Use immediately, or store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.

Notes

1. Save Some for Later

Store in a zip-top bag and freeze for up to 3 months.

2. Get More Crunch

Want extra crunch? Let the croutons cool in the oven with the door slightly open.

3. Experiment with Flavor

Experiment with flavors—try smoked paprika, parmesan, or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
