Summary

This homemade strawberry chia jam is quick, simple, and made with just a few wholesome ingredients—no refined sugar, no pectin, and zero canning required.

Ingredients

3 Cups Fresh Strawberries

¼ Cup Filtered Water

1 Tbsp Maple Syrup, Or More To Taste

23 Tbsp Chia Seeds

½ Lemon (Juiced)

Directions

1. Cook the Berries

In a saucepan, combine strawberries, water, and maple syrup. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it becomes thick and jammy.

2. Stir in Chia Seeds

Remove the jam from heat and stir in chia seeds. Let it sit for 10 minutes. The chia will soak up the liquid and thicken the jam.

3. Add Lemon & Finish

Stir in the lemon juice, then transfer the jam to a jar or container.

Notes

1. Use Mixed Berries

Use any mix of berries—strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, or blackberries all work.

2. Add Extra Flavor

Add a pinch of cinnamon or vanilla extract for extra flavor.

3. Save Some for Later

Store in the fridge for up to 1 week.
