Ingredients

For the Chips

6 Corn Tortillas (Yellow Or White)

2 Tbsp Olive Oil

½ Tsp Sea Salt

For the Salsa

4 Roma Tomatoes

1 Medium White Onion, Roughly Chopped

3 Cloves Garlic, Minced

2 Jalapeños, Seeded And Chopped (Adjust For Heat)

½ Cup Fresh Cilantro, Roughly Chopped

¼ Cup Fresh Lime Juice

1 Tsp Ground Cumin

½ Tsp Sugar (Optional)

Salt And Pepper, To Taste

Directions

1. Make the Chips

Preheat oven to 350°F. Then, stack the corn tortillas and slice into 4 wedges each (24 chips total). Toss chips in a bowl with olive oil, sea salt, and any optional spices.

Arrange in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 6 minutes, then flip and bake for an additional 6 minutes, or until golden and crisp. Let cool.

2. Make the Salsa

In a food processor, combine tomatoes, onion, garlic, jalapeños, cilantro, lime juice, cumin, and sugar. Blend until chunky or smooth—your call—season with salt and pepper to taste.

Transfer to a jar or bowl and chill for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.

3. Serve It Up

Pair your crispy chips with chilled homemade salsa. Dip, scoop, and repeat.

Notes

1. No Time to Chill?

Short on time? The salsa is still tasty when served immediately, but it's even better after chilling.

2. Make it Extra Smoky

For an extra smoky flavor, use fire-roasted tomatoes instead of fresh.

3. Add Extra Flavor

Add ¼ tsp chili powder, cumin, or smoked paprika before baking your tortilla chips for extra flavor
