Golden, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet—this French toast is a simple, satisfying breakfast made with pantry staples. Perfect for lazy weekends or busy mornings when you need something delicious, fast!
1. Make the Batter
In a large, shallow bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, cinnamon, and vanilla.
2. Soak the Bread
Place a slice (or two) of bread into the egg mixture, letting it soak for a few seconds. Flip to coat the other side. If the mixture runs low, add 2 tbsp more milk as needed.
3. Cook Until Golden
Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Spray with cooking oil or melt a small amount of butter or coconut oil.
Add the soaked bread and cook for 2–4 minutes per side, until golden brown.
4. Serve & Enjoy
Top with maple syrup, fresh fruit, powdered sugar, or nut butter, and dig in!
