1. Boil the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne and cook for 5 minutes.
2. Add the Broccoli
Toss the broccoli into the pot and cook for another 5 minutes, until the pasta is al dente and the broccoli is crisp-tender (soft enough to absorb flavors but still firm enough to hold its shape).
3. Drain and Toss
Drain the pasta and broccoli, then return them to the pot. Add the grated garlic, olive oil, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Toss well to coat.
4. Add Cheese and Seasoning
Stir in the Parmesan, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Serve and Enjoy
Divide into bowls, sprinkle with extra Parmesan, and dig in!
